Don Nachbaur is the new head coach

SCB has signed Don Nachbaur, a Canadian-Austrian dual citizen, as their new head coach with a two-year contract. The 61-year-old coach most recently work as head coach with Zvolen in Slovakia.

In his career Don Nachbaur has played 334 games in the NHL as a center.  As captain of the Hershey Bears he had 512 games in the AHL.  Don Nachbaur began his coaching career in 1994 in the junior top league WHL, where he worked as head coach for a total of 19 seasons.  In addition, he worked as head coach in the AHL and as assistant coach in the NHL with LA Kings.

Don Nachbaur has great experience, at the same time he is adapted to the new generation and relies on the integration of young players. The new head coach of SCB is a good communicator with lots of positive energy and is considered as fair and determined in his leadership function.
